Cheers! |03.10.10| Some exciting news: artist Alberto Rey (for whom I am teaching assistant) will be displaying work at the University of Buffalo as well as in Vatican City later this coming year. (cool, huh?). I’ve ordered post-cards which I will be sending out in the next couple of weeks, and have begun uploading the images from my latest series, Mundane Adventures, to the gallery. The work deals with the tediousness of everyday existence and the escapism that is provided by fictitious adventures. I've also been preparing for a three man show that will be exhibited at the Emmitt Christianson Gallery in Fredonia from March 20th to the 26th. I'll be displaying process imagery from the Hero Twins series and exhibiting the completed compositions at the Marion Gallery in May. And the BEST NEWS YET: the sun has decided to come and visit after a long winter vacation. Temperatures in New York will not be below 40 degrees for the remainder of the month. Cheers! |02.25.10| I've received a teaching assistantship with artist Alberto Rey and have been developing a new body of work with his help. I'm in the process of completeing the first five images for that series and will be documenting and uploading the images within the next week. I've also been hard at work on an eight page comic with the talented Donald Boody about toys that are not as playful as their appearance. I am happy to say that winter is for sure the busy season! |01.12.09| I Finally finished the cover image for the Hero Twins Series. It's been uploaded to the Gallery section along with another interior page that I recently completed. I Also came across a recent figure drawing and thought I'd upload it. |01.04.09| I've made some minor changes around the website to showcase some newer work (mainly just swapping out the image above). Wednesday will be crackdown time for the penning and planning of a new series. I'm very excited to create its blueprints. |12.31.09| Currently preparing for a new year full of new work and a couple of new series. I've had the opportunity to help out on some cool projects over at marvel, including the trailer for Captain America: Reborn and the Weekly Watcher. I've been learning tons from my supervisors and I'm hoping to get started on some new artwork in the coming weeks. I've made some minor changes around the website, most notably the format for which images are viewed. They will no longer open in their own window, but through a java script viewer, which I think makes things a bit tidier. More updates to come soon! |
